Today I will rank and highlight my top 5 favorite MCU films. It was very close between some of the movies since their all unique in their own ways. Obviously, I could talk about these films for hours but I will just highlight some of my favorite parts. Enjoy!
5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2
I LOVE the guardians of the galaxy. This movie is filled with intense action, fun music, and a great story. The reason this movie is so high up on the list for me is that the character development is unmatched by any MCU movie. Quill coming to terms with his heritage and his connection to Yondu, Gamora, and Nebula becoming sisters, and rocket learning to love himself and his family. I love to sarcastic and loving relationship each of the team has with one another. It was so sad, yet happy at the end when Yondu sacrificed himself to save Quill and get his Ravenger funeral celebration.
4. Avengers: Endgame
Seeing this movie in the theaters was trilling. I screamed when Captain America used Mjolnir and fought Thanos. I still tear up at Natasha and Tony’s deaths. The movie was a fantastic emotional ending for any MCU fan. The reason this isn’t in the top 3 is that I wasn’t too keen on the time travel concept and some of the scenes came across as forced. Nonetheless, the fact that we got a 40-minute battle scene and a terrific closing to the Infinity Saga made this movie unforgettable.
3. Captain America: Civil War
Commonly referred to as Avengers 2.5, this movie saw an amazing team-up from so many heroes. Even though his screen time was limited, the fact that Zemo was able to divide the Avengers without fighting them makes him a top-tier villain. This movie was action-packed with an amazing airport battle, and the fight between Steve and Tony. We also got to see the debut of Spider-Man, and how he formed his relationship with Iron Man. Although seeing my favorite heroes fight was heartbreaking, it was a well-written story with a lot of depth.
2. Spider-Man: No Way Home (Spoilers)
I still trying to comprehend how great of a movie this was. I saw it 4 times within 8 days of its release. Easily the best Spider-Man movie produced. The return of those Iconic villains and the dynamic between Doctor Strange and Peter Parker was incredible. I loved Charlie Cox’s Daredevil cameo and can’t wait to see his future in the MCU. And of course, I can’t forget about the arrival of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguires Peter Parkers, the relationship between the 3 Peter’s was charming and beautiful. Seeing them come to terms with their failures and finding strength within each other was amazing. This movie was everything I could have ever asked for.
1. Avengers: Infinity War
The fact that I got to see all my heroes on the big screen together for the first time was an experience I’ll never forget. I LOVE this movie. I think I rewatch it at least once a week. The first 10 minutes we get to see Thanos best Thor and Hulk, kill Loki, take the Space Stone, and leave, quickly establishing him as the real deal. The 2 main battles in Wakanda and Titan were so cool, the way the heroes worked together to try to stop the mad titan was crazy. Leaving the theater after witnessing half of the heroes’ die was so unsettling and having to wait an entire year to find out what happened was almost unbearable.
I hope you enjoyed my list. What is your favorite movie?
